It has been so fantastic to have the vast majority of children in school this week. We have had roughly 85% attendance across the school and an array of smiling faces! Thanks to all of you for being patient with us with the different entrances and finding out how it works. This puts us in an excellent place for a September return.
On that note I wanted to add some clarity around September. Whilst there are still a lot of logistical problems to solve I wanted to let you know the basic plan for September. We have tried to answer as many questions as we have answers to on the FAQ document attached. Please be aware that more information will follow over the coming weeks so continue to look out for updates on the website, emails and texts.
Next week your child will receive their end of year report. This covers the period up until the school closed.
We are also aware that parent consultations did not take place during the Spring term. We are planning on having zoom meetings or a phone call with each family on one of the INSET days in September. This will be a focused conversation about the time your child was not at school and to discuss their learning during this period. It will also be an opportunity to discuss any concerns your child has about returning to school. This will be with your child’s new class teacher.
I'm sure you will appreciate that these are unprecedented times for education, however I am confident that despite being a little different, our children's experience of school will remain a positive one.
Do read the FAQ’s attached and I look forward to seeing you all next week. Have a lovely weekend.
