Chestnuts 'Early Bird' Breakfast Club
Here at Chestnuts we run our own registered child care provision offering wrap around child care for school aged children from 7.45am until 5:45pm. All our 'Extended Services' provisions at Chestnuts are registered with Ofsted and as such we also accept child care vouchers as payment. If you need help in sorting out the finances for our child care provision then please don't hesitate to come and talk to our School Business Manager. Early Bird Breakfast club is just one important element of our child care provision. The club enables parents/carers to drop off their children between 7.45am and 8.30am everyday. The club is staffed by our own school staff so the children already know them well from working with them in school. It operates on our school site which means a smooth transition from a great breakfast to the start of the school day. Drop them at 8am and get off to work or college! Places MUST be pre-booked as we unable to accept casual admissions due to pressure on numbers. The children will be provided with healthy breakfast plus indoor and outdoor activities. They will be encouraged to read, play board games or just socialise with friends.
The emphasis of Breakfast Club is on providing a nurturing, friendly and happy start to the day with a balance between active, sporty exercise and more focused creative activities, indoor games and homework. Children are very much involved in planning and choosing their activities with the team staff. We do allow arrives after 8.30am as this does not lend itself to children being able to eat and take their time before the start of a busy school day.

Breakfast club is extremely popular and places are limited, which means we encourage parents to sign up well in advance of needing the place.
Daily Menu
- Fresh Fruit
- Cereal (Cornflakes, Shreddies or Weetabix) - (Warm Milk - Winter only)
- Porridge (Winter only)
- Pancakes (Friday treat only)
- Toast - sometimes with beans as a treat but always with Jam
- Toasted Bagels
- Fruit Juice
There are no limits on what the children are able to choose. They may only choose toast or cereal or they may chose everything on the menu!
