Update 03.07 including classes for September 2020
Ahead of the return for most children to school next week I wanted to write to you regarding our plans for teaching staff during the next academic year.
This year has been strange in so many ways and now it is clear we will be unable to carry out our usual transition arrangements for children into their next year group. We are still looking at ways we can carry out some transition in September whilst keeping with the government guidelines for health and safety at school. Attached to this update is the class list for the new academic year stating which teacher will teach which class.
You will notice that, very sadly, Ms Pugh will be leaving us. Her family are relocating to the seaside. Ms Pugh will be sorely missed, both as a teacher and as a member of our school community. Ms Pugh is kind, caring and always looking for ways to make the education most fun for children at Chestnuts. We wish her the very best of luck in her new role and her new home.
As you will be aware, yesterday the government released its guidance for the full opening of schools. As an SLT, with support from the governing body, we are working hard to plan how this will look for children and their families at Chestnuts. I hope to write to you this time next week with the plans containing most of the details.
As ever, thank you for all your support,
