School Council - Pupil Voice
Chestnuts Primary School Council
At Chestnuts Primary, we believe that every pupil's voice matters. Our School Council is a group of elected students who work together to make our school a better place. It provides a platform for pupils to share their ideas, discuss important issues, and help shape school life.
Each half term, new representatives are voted in by their classmates, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to take part in decision-making. The council meets weekly to discuss school improvements, organise events, and represent the views of their peers.
By being part of the School Council, pupils develop leadership skills, learn about democracy, and make a real difference to our school community.
Additionally to the school council, we carry out termly Pupil voice questionnaires to establish how our children feel at school. Please see below for how the children at Chestnuts feel abut their school.
