We are really looking forward to welcoming back Reception in the week beginning 22nd June

Our aim is to provide a safe, happy, familiar place with time with friends and teachers.   Within the session the children will not be expected to follow social distancing rules and we will operate as normally as possible.

Following government guidance, the children will be allocated to one of two 'bubbles' (Monday and Tuesday or Thursday and Friday) and the classrooms will be deep cleaned in between on a Wednesday.   Having the two separate groups or 'bubbles' will ensure that no more than 15 children attend any one session.  Staff will be allocated to one of the two 'bubbles' so that there is no mixing between the groups.

Ahlberg Class will be taught by Ms Barrett or Ms Jafri.

Donaldson Class will be taught by Ms Mower or Mrs Pugh.

Children will be in their usual classrooms and the outdoor area will be divided in two so that the children can have access to the indoor and outdoor environment as normally as possible.

You will receive a phone call during the week beginning 15th June to let you know which group your child is allocated to.  This will also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions.

In order to manage the number of people on site, drop off and pick up will be as follows:

Ahlberg Class

Donaldson Class

Drop off time

Pick up time

Allocated gate

Breakfast Club Gate

St Ann’s Road Gate

Due to social distancing around the school site we are asking that you queue up to drop your child off with an adult at the classroom door and then promptly leave the school site. Please do not hang around as we normally allow.

During the school day the children will stay within their classroom environment to avoid groups mixing.  We will be providing packed lunches as school meals and these will be provided by the school as usual. If you would rather, your child can bring a packed lunch.

Your child will need to have a named water bottle with them every day in school.

To ensure the safety of our whole school community we are asking that parents minimise contact with others on the school site. The office will be open by appointment only. Please email the school office or phone to make an appointment.

We will continue to provide planning for home learning activities and support on Tapestry throughout the whole of this term.  Whilst in school the children will also be following the home learning planning.

We completely understand that each family is in a different circumstance and respect whatever decision you feel is right for your child and family.  If you have specific questions or concerns please email the class email address ( / and a member of the team will be in touch with you.
