Mrs Potter

Welcome to Hadid Class

We hope you had a lovely Easter break!

Hopefully the nice weather is here to stay! smiley

Here is breakdown of what we are up to this term.:

Our topic this half term is Kings and Queens, we will be looking into the royal family, past and present kings and queens and what is a monarchy? In Science we will be identifying and naming a variety of common wild plants and trees.

This half term we will be focusing on Traditional Tales , looking into characters and setting descriptions , The retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk and other traditional stories, thinking about creating our own stories. At the end of term we will be writing information texts about pollination and growing seedlings. (cross curricular with Science)

This half term we will be revisiting our number bonds to 10 and beyond. We will also learning to recognise fractions of shapes and numbers. Towards the end of term we will be focusing on capacity, you can help at home by encouraging our child to investigate using different sized containers . For example– how many small cups of water will fill a bucket? Can they estimate the outcome?

Class Trips

Our class trip is on the 23/04/2018 and we will be visiting the railway fields.

Please don't hestate to ask if there is anything you are unsure about,
