NEW FUNDING BIDS RECEIVED

 

£300 FROM Mr England to visit The Chocolate Museum/ Factory. Accepted to by Mrs Horwood.


 

BARN DANCE

 

  • Alcohol licence needed (for Chestival too) – Ellie to action

 

  • Brewheads – Marika to price up (30ltr keg or 24 bottles £30) or redemption keg.

 

  • Ellie to got to Costco for food:

 

  • Sausages (meat & veggie)

Sweetcorn

Onions

Ketchup

 

Merchandise to sell – Claire to order:

  • Neckerchiefs (more of the purple)

Sparkly cowboy hats

Sheriff badges

Candyfloss sticks

 

Bouncy castle voted on and decided against.

  • Jen to speak to potentials

  • Park View student band? Angeline? Haringey Music Service?

 

Chestival’s Got Talent

  • Claire to do poster

  • Potentially open to school age children in the community to qualify for council funding?




 

Stalls

1 stall per class? May help encourage teacher involvement..? eg. Plant stall Yr 1, which would link with this term’s topic. Could this be done somehow with each year?

 

Sponsorship

Brickworks - £2000 tbc Jen to meet Ellie (of Brickworks) to confirm and clarify terms (sole estate agent sponsor rather than sole sponsor).

  • Jen to design sponsorship ad (following Ellie’s (BW) request to employ a designer using the sponsorship money).

  • Sarah/ Jen to send 2017 full costs to Ellie (BW).

 

Funding

Council (St Ann’s ward) has surplus community fund that can be applied for. Becky getting application to be filled in (not by Becky). Application must show how Chestival will be benefiting the community – idea to open Chestival’s Got Talent up to Primary aged children within the community.


 

Poster Competition

To be for artwork alone. All copy to be printed on top.

 

Poster and programme should be the same branding.

 

Food

Hopefully Errol’s Caribbean stall – to be emailed

Polish stall?

*Ellie to put a shout out in the newsletter for International food stalls*

 

Raffle

Prizes needed with focus on quality rather than quantity (too many last year).

Shout out in newsletter?

1hr Reflexology session offered (Helen)

Marika to ask Tara (yr 1) to call/go into businesses for potential prizes. Also to ask Tara about potential tickets for BBC shows via Dave (producer).

Helen to ask Sarah Cuddon about TATE exhibition tickets.

 

QUIZ – THURSDAY 7TH JUNE

Indera to be rented (Anthony – Claire’s husband)

Wesley (Becky’s husband) to be quizmaster

Prize to be a cup (which will be engraved with winners annually) and a bottle of something.

Monetary prize discussed and decided against.

 

FRIDAY MORNING PSA MEETINGS

 

1st of these to take place @ 9.15 this Friday 4th May in SNUG (hopefully encouraging parents with small children at home). Table booked.

Ellie to organise text to go out for asking for parents to attend to ‘Brainstorm fundraising ideas’. (Soundproofing for hall raised as a fundraising target).
